Hagdos@lemmy.worldto Technology@lemmy.world•Capacitive controls could be the cause of a spate of VW ID.4 crashesEnglish17·10 months agoThe ID.4 doesn’t just have capacitive buttons, it has swipe controls on the steering wheel.
And of the most frustrating cars I have ever driven.
Have you even read the comment you are replying to?
But are we capable of only wiping out the human biting mosquitos without affecting other mosquitos, or even other insects?
Hagdos@lemmy.worldto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's the cheapest thing you had bought that by the end of its usefulness made you say "wow, this was worth a lot more than what I've paid for!"4·11 months agoI have a good gaming PC in my living room. Still I find myself on the couch with my steam deck very often.
That’s blatantly untrue. My plant ID app gives multiple suggestions with certainty percentages.
I agree, I just really want to insert my non-relevant ideas into the discussion
Yeah, but that’s a whole 'nother topic.
I live in a country with proper driving tests, but most drivers (myself included) are still shit at driving. Even professional bus drivers are limited humans.
A car nudging you towards an accident is dangerous, even if it’s not forcing you into an accident.
An unnecessary distraction that needs active attention in a chaotic situation is a bad thing, bad driver or not. And yeah, there are many bad drivers out there. Cars should be designed to be driven by bad drivers, not armchair experts.
The BMW i8 has exactly this, a large subwoofer in the rear to make it sound like a heavy engine, even though it’s electric.
That makes 0 latency in the monitor, but how much latency is there in the drivers that convert a digital image to analogue signals? Isn’t the latency just moved to the PC side?
Yes, but not because of the oil. Pipes often clog due to a buildup of soap. Don’t use more soap than you need, which for most people is about 10 times less than what they use now.
Hagdos@lemmy.worldto Funny: Home of the Haha@lemmy.world•Just another day for the Coast Guard56·1 year agoYou could try, but authorities will absolutely try to stop you, similar to boat guy here. It’s just that stopping a base diver is a little harder.
That’s not an excuse to just skip all punctuation.
Hagdos@lemmy.worldto Ask Lemmy@lemmy.world•When you stopped caring about staying in good shape?141·1 year agoNot what you asked, but what you need to hear instead.
Sure, it’s easier not to confront any of your problems, and act like 100kg is still “skinny fat” somehow. But wallowing in self-pity isn’t going to make anything better, and it’s the worst for your social life, which in turn is the worst for your mental health.
I don’t expect you’ll hear this either, and that’s okay. I hope you find your way out of your misery at some point.
Yes, that’s why I said “as long as you pick the right ones”
Nothing wrong with very general rules, as long as you pick the right ones.
Don’t bully people. Don’t be an asshole. Don’t use or threaten with violence. Etc.
Even better are general positive rules: Be nice to other people. Be kind. Give constructive feedback. Etc.
Rightfully so. Always DST makes the countries that are already off their natural time even more off.
Well, shit
edit: in my defense, |i’ve never seen a single firefly, so ten thousand would be enough for me not to believe my eyes
