You really don’t need to be a billionaire to afford crazy internet speeds (if you want them). You can get a 100G port from pretty much any ISP for ~$8k/mo, or even cheaper if you are willing to have a bandwidth cap. Then assuming you really want it, you’d have to pay to get the fiber laid to your home, which can be a few hundred thousand dollars depending on how far away you are. Of course this is ridiculous for home internet, but it is within reach for people that are way poorer then billionaires.

If you want to win you need to back candidates that are more then just centrist dems who want to be bipartisan.

I guess the crop of candidates for 2026 will be revealing, but looking at Fl-1, the only dem candidate is the same one that has lost the previous 5 times, often by >10% of the vote.

Is there a link or story or something about the DNC being changed out? Because afaik the DNC is the same as it ever was, funded by billionaires and PACs to push austerity, market economics and funding for Israel.

This is a useful feature. If you are in an abusive household, then yes you should have as much financial separation as possible. For those that are in a happy and functional family with kids that you want to allow freedom for, this provides a measure of safety if you need it for potential emergency’s or if they aren’t answering the phone or whatever.

In a better world, yes.
