Oh, I 100% do all that stuff, it’s how I’m avoiding conflict so far. At some point it just gets fristrating to have to accomodate these people. The nice thing about being tall is that I’ll have the excuse of “oh sorry I guess I didn’t see ya there”. For the most part I’m fairly non-confrontational and it’s more of a fantasy but my god I’ve been getting real tired of stupid lately especially when I have to make up for it.

I’ll move a little to avoid conflict but I’m 6’-5” and one of these days I’m just gunna stand there and DARE them to cause a fuss.

Same with the metro. My elbows are sticking out more and more walking off it like GET OUT OF MY FUCKING WAY I NEED TO LEAVE SO YOU CAN GET ON. One of these days, if I line up right in fromt of someone, I’m straight up gunna say “well, idiot, you gunna move out of the fucking way or what?”

I think there was something I read about current leadership being not as good or something, so look into that, but this guy at least is fucking cool so far.

But what if I’m Self-Made™? I earned that money and definitely didn’t use anything that taxes paid for, and if I did I’d be happy to pay for it but only it and also I’m sure that wouldn’t cause a paperwork nightmare as everyone tries to be way to specific about what they’re paying for and what they aren’t.

Yea but, you know the “are we the baddies skit”? That’s a guy who’s super deep into the SS and whose line is still intact enough to see all the skulls and shit and go “hey, wait, this all seems a little off maybe I’ll ask someone.”

I know some people who can be brought back simply because their leader does something they cannot ignore, and they can’t ignore it because there is no way to spin what’s being done that wouldn’t make someone with even half a functioning brain take a step back. Which is where I get into a weird place that I don’t love and that’s wondering just how stupid these literal billions of people around the world are. They’re barely more than animals the way they act, and that goes for all of them, from the US, to Africa, to Asia, and to Europe. The only line that can be crossed is direct, personal harm and they will still justify it for far too long.

I have my thoughts on this, mainly that there’s a point where even very stubborn people need admit defeat and turn things around. That point is usually where, in defence of their shitty opinion, they are asked to do something that crosses a line. And yet for so many conservatives we keep hoping the line is crossed and keep learning just how little they care about other people.

It depends also who you are. That person in the comic saying he’s nice is a guy and not the of the group of people(women) that are so aggressively disrespected. How would he know?

It also falls into the “decorum” sphere. Someone who isn’t yelling while they’re throwing your rights in the garbage is not nice. Someone opening the gas chamber door for you is not nice. Surface level means nothing and it has always meant nothing but it takes a lot of energy for the vast majority of people to be thinking deeper than that all the time so they fall back on easy, high-level observations.

Now, I won’t say someone can’t be turned around. Many are pretty far gone, though, and it’s not their victims’ job to be nice and supportive to their oppressors. So yes, they might just be humans but the warning given above needs to be more of a “he’s kinda a misogynist right now but I’ve been working on him and he’s getting better. Let me know if you’re uncomfortable at any point though and I’ll take care of it.”

You don’t need to learn it from anywhere. Look at the stereotype of cats who love affection when they want it even if you’re busy but who get mad when you initiate when all they’re doing is lying there. All these people have really “done” is not grow out of being whiny, bitch-ass toddlers. They’re just deeply insecure, immature assholes with zero compassion or self-awareness.

Bezos makes ~$2,500 every SECOND. His big idea? Get a bunch of funding to heavily undercut local bookstores and operate at a loss while destroying local businesses such that he could take over as a near monopoly. And it’s highly doubtful that it was his idea, but it worked because when you’re willing to cheat against those not willing to do the same you’re gunna win.

I literally said “as a group”, which implies that it is a generalization and I am well aware that there exceptions. I myself am generally considered to be one such exception by many women I meet and I am quite proud of that and the work I’ve put in to get there.

We, AS A WHOLE, are still not able to make women AS A WHOLE feel safe. They are choosing the bear and they are not wrong to just because a couple nice men exist somewhere. There’re also awful women out there, but I’m FAR more confident that I’d be safe around a random women than a woman would be around a strange man and no amount me of trying to be a victim will change that for the better.

So many people aren’t even anti-men, it’s just that they don’t respect women enough to consider them capable of anything distasteful(unless they can use it to force them to do things for them). It’s like how people lose their minds over trans women but say nothing about trans men. And, honestly, as a straight man from the start, we have a terrible history that, as a group, we are doing far too little to grow out of despite having so many tools and so much power available to us. I kinda get it.

“We won’t make the same mistake this time” yet ya’ll keep doing it over and over again. Besides empty platitudes, what are you gunna do to stop it?

In the world where conservatives, well, don’t exist(the people do but the ideology is gone to the landfill where it belongs) all of the excuses and bungus follow-ups like stuff about the parents would just not be important or said.
