Having borrowed a quest 3 last week I’ve almost pulled trigger on buying one.
The only thing holding me back is… it’s Meta.
Not only do they cost more, the greater surface area means your cold drink warms up faster.
Neat.
I bought a Tesla years ago before Elon completely removed the mask.
No way I’d buy one now, but I also don’t want to sell it early and lose a tonne of money.
The Tesla board should intervene and remove him, but they won’t because he’s stacked it with yes men like his brother.
They were relatively quick to pull the 1.13GHz Pentium III from the market when it turned out to have stability issues from pushing Coppermine too far.
This feels like a repeat of that, but with Intel sticking their heads in the sand and screwing over customers instead.
Either that or you’ve got some malware.
Much heavier than petrol cars if they’re not on a bespoke EV platform or designed poorly. Slightly heavier than petrol cars if they’re designed properly.
Eg a Model 3 and a Toyota Camry are the same weight and almost identical dimensions.
It’s weird to me the weight thing keeps coming up when discussing EVs but not the petrol cars which have been growing bigger and heavier for years.

AppleTV+ ($14.99, Amazon Prime Video ($10.99) and Disney+ ($14.99) = $40.97 per month
YouTube Premium = $39.99 per month
I can’t justify premium. For the same price I can buy for my family:
AppleTV+, Amazon Prime Video and Disney+
Or:
YouTube but without ads
Don’t complain or they might switch to a blister pack.
You’d probably like Prodeus, it’s certainly scratched that itch for me.
Farmers own supermarkets now?
How isn’t it relevant? Large animals like whales make up a disproportionate amount of ‘wild animal’ biomass. But rats, mice etc will make up a sizeable proportion too while being human centric pests in much of the world.
4% is actually worse than it looks.
Presumably subway rats and other vermin count as wild?
I threw Ubuntu 24.04 in a VM it’s been a few years since I’ve used it.
I was unpleasantly surprised.
I’ve been with Tidal since. I miss the Spotify recommendation algorithm but that’s it.
Two to three times what Spotify pay artists per stream.
I tried Ubuntu again recently for the first time in years.
Between Snaps and having to create an account to get security updates, I quickly gave up on it.
iPhone has enormous market dominance in the US and no sideloading.
We could do so much more, but would we? USAID was just shuttered. There’s every chance that money would go into the military industrial complex or something equally unpleasant.
Not defending billionaires as a concept (they shouldn’t exist, and most aren’t as philanthropic as Bill), but I will acknowledge he’s doing a lot of good with his money.
