Not if you get a Microsoft 365 family with copilot plan for only $129.99 a year ! /s
Installing gpu drivers on linux was night and day. Everything around drivers on windows is such a hassle and I’m shocked they haven’t bothered to look into it. Sure there’s geforce experience but that software is just another form of bloat meant to collect telemetry.
Sadly everything is connected to microsofts cloud services which I just don’t trust for an infinite number of reasons.
I’m so glad I’ve been moving away from windows recently
They do they just don’t care. 99% of US politicians have been or are actively paid by AIPAC to say this stuff which then leads to their supporters parroting it. Chuck Schumer gave the game away when he said “It’s my job to keep the left pro isreal.”
I wish I could be linux exclusive. But my friends and I play games that wont work properly under it. Recently we’ve been really into halo infinite but that game just doesnt work well under linux. I do plan on building an all amd system this fall so thatll be a big help towards fully jumping to linux for me but for now dual booting is my strategy. Im sure ill make someone mad with how I go about things but its what works for my use case.
I dual boot at this point. I have a POP_OS! nvme where I do normal pc stuff and maybe some light single player gaming, then I boot into my windows ssd for the heavier anticheat stuff. Imma be completely honest though. For most people I recommend just upgrading to windows 11 if you can. Linux is great but I think if someone just cares about gaming they should stick to windows.
Based
On my 3070 when I tried it was fine. Vulkan and DX11 or lower games were great but DX12 saw a performance hit pretty much across the board. For example ive been playing through the last of us part 1 on steam and it ran ultra no issues under windows but under linux it had to be set to low to maintain 60. Uncharted and spiderman were great on both windows and linux so maybe it was just that game. Anti cheat also wont work most of the time. If you play things like cod, siege, apex, fortnite, gta online or anything like that its a no go but you could also dual boot just for those games if you wanna play them that bad. Seeing as you dont play many games and dont like messing with drivers Id say go for it. Drivers are less of a hassle on linux than windows imo since linux will get everything automatically and will auto update them along with the system.
Can’t wait for windows updates to get even buggier ! Seriously though I’m building an all amd gaming rig in november and never using windows again.
Seems like we got a bit of a party going on in the us rn lol
I don’t even need to read it to know the answer is an astounding yes
Fitgirl Repacks my beloved
Well I also reserve the right to not buy their underpowered shit.
We’re also closing in on a potential second plague here with bird flu since there’s been a concerning surge of infections in cats and the current regime is refusing to act on it.
It just feels wrong man. I’m of the belief that we should let the dead rest in peace. Bringing them back through ai or other means fundamentally goes against that. Im also against taxidermy but that’s not the debate were having rn. This lands in that category for me. I’m neutral on ai broadly but this is where I draw the line.
To me this is the equivalent of taxidermying a person then using them as a puppet. Sure it might have a positive impact on some people but it’s immoral at best.
So basically the uac was fucking around with technology and went to far in their pursuit and opened a portal to hell in an attempt to harness it as a power source. Then the game itself kicks off after everything goes wrong and all hell breaks lose.
Seeing as it windows its safe to assume literally everything goes to the cloud even if its not stated.
