  • I have a base model Android flagship phone, and secondary budget phone as a backup, I used to play low-end games on a laptop but depression got in the way and haven’t really used computers recently, its probably just sitting in some drawer somewhere collecting dust, I don’t really use it anymore, not sure if its still functioning, but probably won’t be replacing it. Smartphones kinda replaced everything. You can’t lie in bed and comfortalt hold a device bigger than a smartphone for watching youtube videos and stuff anyways.

I type like 1000 words, then I realized I’m gonna look so stupid if nobody reads it and it remains at 1 vote, so I just delete it before I embarass myself.

(I don’t care about upvotes, I just want to get the acknowledgement that someone read it so I know my time wasn’t wasted.)

Edit: I wish there was a “read” button. It’s for the times when you acknowledge reading it but you don’t like it enough to upvote it.

Can someone add this to Lemmy? 👀

  • I sometimes wonder if my parents are actually my kidnappers and that one time I ran away from home is actually when I got kidnapped and this could be a suppressed memory.

Or they might be actors and I’m in a truman show.

    Or this is a simulation.

Or other people aren’t real, this is my imagination.

So yea, I have a lot of “conspiracy theories”, but confidence in those theories is less than 40%, so it kinda just lingers in the back of my find, its just those unprovable theories that I like to think about. I don’t like actually believe they are true, but its just something I keep in mind as a possible explanation of reality.

I sometimes to wonder about the anti-vax conspiracy. I’m like 50% skeptical of them. Not exactly antivax, but like I’m not gonna be the first one to get it, I’ll wait a bit to see if anyone dies first.

Now, about what you are saying. Nah. I concluded that it’s very a bad idea to judge someone for being something they were born with. My reasoning is, if I were born as a [Insert Race/Ethnic group here], I wouldn’t want to face discriminayion. As with sexuality, I ask myself: “What harm does two men or two women being together have on me?” Can’t think of any, so yea do whatever you want, life is short, go fuck whoever you want, as long as you are all consenting adults. Same with gender identity. I mean, I think separating bathrooms by genders is just ridiculous. I mean, why is someone watching me washing my hands a problem if they are the opposite gender, but not for someone of the same gender? Like… stalls are locked anyways, why is there even a gender separation. Just make every bathroom unisex, done. What even is the problem with this “culture war” BS.

So yea, I don’t really don’t really doubt my beliefs in egalitarianism.

Of course not everyone is born equal, some have disabilities, the point is to treat people as equals.

  • Well, maybe for men who are strong, they would feel safe all the time. But I’m not exactly a muscular guy, I’m just average.

Kinda in the same category as most women. Maybe statistically less likely to get SA’ed, but still, muggings, random assults, hate crimes?

My mom got robbed for a few hundred dollars just a fee blocks from my house.

Some kid was throw things at my grandma.

There’ve been hate crimes against Asian Americans since 2020. It never really went away.

Before 2020, it was “stranger danger” and as a kid, it was easy for adults to target you. But now? Its actual hate crimes.

So like, as an Asian American, this is like you telling a Black person in the South to “stop being in constant fear”.

Even in supposedly “liberal” cities, you got people in NYC being attacked. Even native americans got blamed for covid. Like native american can you imagine the insanity?

I think your comment was probably made in good faith, but you’re lacking context for what the US is like. Perhaps your area is very safe, in that case, I’m glad you have that safety, but things are kinds chaotic here. I mean, most of the world, other than small close-knit communities, the world is chaotic.

I remember people yelling racial slurs at me in school, and once even by kids younger than me.

Being a man doesn’t make you safer, not unless you’re a very muscular-looking man (which I’m not).
