How does “affiliating while registering” not equate to “registering as?”
Texas did in fact purge voter rolls in the lead up to the election, though it was months, not days, prior, and I haven’t seen evidence of it being predominantly aimed at Democrats. However, the state does know what primary you voted in and can use that to formulate a “potential Democrat” list.

In a global economy there’s no need to be fully self sufficient; unless, for some reason, no one wants to work with you.
